I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in August of 2002. At that time, I walked away from the institution that handed me the diagnosis, and went off to cure my cancer with all "alternative" treatments.

I studied herbalism, and made my own medicines. I received acupucture, polarity, massage, huna, and other forms of treatments. I changed the way I was eating, thinking, and drinking, as well as living my life.

Unfortunately, the tumor grew. I remained extraordinarily healthy otherwise.

A year ago, I submitted to chemotherapy, followed by radiation treatments to shrink the tumor. I began aromatase inhibitors last June, a class of drugs given to women with estrogen receptor positive breast cancers who are post-menopausal. On February 15, 2006, I underwent a modified radical mastectomy with reconstruction.

I left the hospital on Tylenol alone. I have been using Belleruth's audios throughout this past year, as well as many other voices of healers. I am blessed with a magnificent healing body. I am grateful to be able to share this story. I do not recommend avoiding allopathic medicine. However, I have no regrets and know that I needed to follow the path that I did.

I followed a similar path in regards to having a hysterectomy in 2005. I had been diagnosed with fibroid tumors(non-cancerous) about 3 years prior to that and did not want to have surgery or any of the other alopathic options available. I followed a regimen under the care of my naturopathic doctor with hopes that the tumors would reabsorb. Unfortunately they were too large and numerous for that to happen. I reluctantly made a decision to have a hysterectomy, deciding that was the best of the alopathic options available to me. Although some would say that I waited too long (the fibroids weighed 6 pounds), I did exactly what I needed to do and have no regrets. In the months after my surgery a friend introduced me to Belleruth's guided imagery, which I continue to use. I enjoy excellent heath.
