Just for the record, Toni Lonning is an amazing social worker and a huge comfort and resource for so many people dealing with cancer. BR - Belleruth Wed, 10 Sep 2008 19:41:21 +0100 http://belleruthnaparstek.com/inspiring-story/through-guided-imagery-the-operating-theater-became-a-familiar-place.html#comment-47 I am a clinical SW and work in a Cancer Center at St. Vincents Hospital in Portland , OR...I have been an enthusiastic teacher and supporter of guided Imagery for 25 years..ever since I took Marty Rossman's/Academy for Guided Imagery Courses...however 2 years ago I got a chance to put into practice what I had been preaching..I was going to have a total knee replacement...so, in addition to weight loss and exercise I began listening to the Successful Surgery CD...once through surgery I began the Ease the Pain CD....I was off narcotics in 5 days, up on my feet and feeling much better than I thought I would.
