			<description>In one guided imagery research protocol for people undergoing radiation therapy, the imagery narrative suggested that the cold, hard, metallic table the patient had to lie on during the scan was a soft, cushy &amp; comfy bed - in hopes of reframing an unpleasant experience into a pleasant one.  
But it was so counter to the reality, that it had the opposite effect.  The imagery jarred most people out of their altered state - their unconscious just went &quot;NOT!!!!&quot;.  
That's part of why I subscribe to a more incremental approach!

			<description>Hi all - I am one of those firm believers that you should NOT word an affirmation with CAN but need to word it as if it was a reality.  The idea is to load your brain with enough imagery, emotion and belief that you have achieved the end result that you alter your behavior in order to better attract that which you affirm.  

The &quot;More and More I...&quot; approach may be a good middle-ground, but still would advise people to use the most affirmative version.
