			<description>Two other methods that worked for me:
1.  Propose a program/topic to an organization that has regular meetings, and offer to speak on or moderate a panel of the topic.  That's how I made my first professional presentation, to the local chapter of a national organization.
2.  Get involved in your professional organization, serving on the board of a local chapter, and from there on the annual national conference committee or maybe on the national board. Always do what is right for the profession and organization, but opportunities for you will likely flow from these activities. - Mary Dunbar</description>
