I am a middle school math teacher and several of my students stress out when it comes time to take any type of math test. I am wondering if there is anything I could do with my classes as a whole to help alleviate anxiety. I do have them close their eyes and take a few big deep breaths. I also have them take themselves (in their mind) to their favorite place where they can be relaxed. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you! JD - Jayne DeMeuse

Along with the wonderful CDs suggested above, the company HeartMath has scientifcally validated, wonderful, easy to use products that support children and adults with test taking anxiety, stress, emotional self mastery etc. that allow higher cortical functioning while enhancing general health and well being. If appropriate, feel free to contact me off- blog. I applaud the counselor for recognizing the need for a holistic approach with his students. Best of luck, KA - Kathleen Anne
