 Guided imagery enthusiast, Esther Johnson RN, BC, MH, reports she’s been feverishly promoting imagery in her community. She’s part of a private practice at the Center for Integrative Medicine in San Jose, California.
Guided imagery enthusiast, Esther Johnson RN, BC, MH, reports she’s been feverishly promoting imagery in her community. She’s part of a private practice at the Center for Integrative Medicine in San Jose, California, where a wonderful group of practitioners have teamed up. Esther, as part of this team, is developing and creating an integrative therapy program for the oncology unit of a local hospital, and helping to create similar services for her area hospice.
She’s also become a spokesperson, teacher and trainer for guided imagery. She’ll be presenting at the California Hospice Association''s regional conference, providing an overview of her program and suggesting how other hospices can follow suit. In addition, she’ll be presenting at Imagery International''s conference at Asilomar in October. So keep an eye out, and perhaps you can catch one of her presentations.
A former student of the renowned Beyond Ordinary Nursing interactive imagery program (http://www.imageryrn.com ), created by the very-beyond-ordinary Terry Miller and Sue Ezra, she recently completed their training to become adjunct faculty for their program, and is about to begin providing training to nurses at local hospitals and healthcare organizations.
