We are proud to salute the dynamic duo of Susan Ezra, RN, HNC and Terry Reed, RN, MS, HNC , the creators and directors of Beyond Ordinary Nursing, who have done so much to train hundreds of nurses in integrative imagery with their extraordinary, 110-hour Certificate Program in Imagery.
Terry has over 25 years of experience in critical care and clinical performance improvement, and, in addition to her work founding and co-directing this coast-to-coast guided imagery program tailored specifically for nurses, she also has a private practice in Integrative Imagery in Foster City, California (650-570-6157).
Co-founder and Co-director Susan Ezra has over 23 years experience in critical care, oncology and hospice nursing, as well as a private practice in stress management and Integrative Imagery in San Rafael, CA (415-308-7808).
Their unique program, about which we have heard only raves from nurse pals, offers in-depth, hands-on imagery training, specifically tailored for nurses, to empower themselves and others. As with the certificate training offered by the Academy for Guided Imagery, Susan and Terry teach a technique that, in their own words, fosters active participation, disease prevention and health promotion, returning the focus of wellness to the individual. It is a powerful modality for helping a patient/client connect with deeper resources at cognitive, affective and somatic levels. This is transformative for the nurse and the client, simultaneously. Introductory trainings for 2005 will be in Danville, CA on January 20-23; in Minneapolis, MN on May 19-22; and in New York City on October 13-16.
