 Ruth Buczynski’s outstanding annual NICABM conference is coming up, hosted, as always, at sunny Hilton Head, SC, from Dec 8-14.  And that reminds me, one of my very favorite people - guided imagery virtuoso and pioneer, Emmett Miller MD - is the star of this year’s Healing Journeys (not to be confused with Health Journeys) all-day workshop in Sacramento, CA on Nov 5, 2008. Jan Adrian’s wonderful organization always offers great information and experiential learning, and this year’s will be no exception. Emmett will talk about the principles of self-healing, current findings in psychoneuroimmunology, and the process by which thoughts and images become biochemistry. He has a gift for helping people tap into their inner resources for awakening, promoting and supporting their own healing. So, those of you who can make it, you’re in for a treat.   And Jim Gordon’s outstanding Food as Medicine training for health professionals – oversubscribed every time! - is scheduled for January 8-11 in San Francisco; and in Washington DC on June 14. This is a terrific opportunity for health professionals to get first-rate training in the latest advances in the very exciting field of nutritional medicine. And it features some of my very favorite people – the fabulous, one-and-only Kathie Swift, RD (who, when she was the Canyon Ranch nutritionist, helped me enormously with creating our Weight Loss imagery, way back in the day), and awesome, superstar, food-mavin docs, Mark Hyman, Cindy Geyer and Joe Pizzorno.
